Who you're dealing with

This website is operated by Powergroup Norway Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 12671407), 53 Cornwall Avenue, Southall UB1 2TE, United Kingdom. Avenfair is our brand.

Buying from us

You cannot buy from this site. Our floss and our book are sold through Amazon, and your purchase is a contract with Amazon under Amazon's terms — including their rules on delivery, returns and refunds, which are usually better than anything a small brand could offer directly.

If a product arrives faulty or isn't as described, your statutory rights apply and Amazon's returns process is the fastest route. You're welcome to tell us as well; we want to know about bad batches.

The book

Stitch by Stitch is our copyright. Buying a copy gives you a copy to read and use, including for teaching your own class or group. It does not give you the right to reproduce it, resell it, or republish any part of it as your own work.

The sample chapter on this site is free to read and to share by linking. Please link to the page rather than copying the text.

The book is guidance, not instruction from a professional. Embroidery involves sharp needles and scissors, and some techniques involve cutting fabric. Use your judgement, supervise children, and don't follow anything in it that seems unsafe for your situation.

What's ours

The text, photographs, illustrations and design on this site belong to us. The Avenfair name and logo are ours. You may quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link; please don't copy pages wholesale.

Anything you stitch using our floss or our book is entirely yours, including commercially. We claim nothing in your work.

Accuracy

We try hard to get this site right and to say plainly what our products are and aren't. Colours on a screen never match thread exactly, and dye lots vary slightly. If something on this site is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Availability

We don't promise the site is always up. It's a static website on Cloudflare, so it usually is, but we won't be liable if it isn't.

Liability

We don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude. Beyond that, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or the book.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We link to Amazon and to social platforms. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings there.
